What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to give site operators a general understanding of how visitors use their pages.

Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access other files on your device. They are stored by your browser and can be read only by the website that set them (or, in the case of third-party cookies, by the service that issued them).

On the Kithcraft website at kithcrafteep.biz, we use a small number of cookies for the purposes described below. We do not use cookies to identify you personally beyond what is needed to remember your preferences on this site.

The cookies we use

Essential cookies

Always active

These cookies are required for the site to function. They manage your cookie consent preference and support basic security. They cannot be disabled.

Examples: cookieConsent (localStorage), session management

Analytics cookies

Optional

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website โ€” which pages are visited most, where visitors come from, and how long they spend on the site. The information is aggregated and anonymous.

Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid)

Marketing cookies

Optional

These cookies may be used to show you relevant advertising on other platforms, or to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. We use them only if you opt in.

Examples: Facebook Pixel, Bing Ads UET

Preference cookies

Optional

These cookies remember settings you have chosen, such as language or region preferences, so you do not have to re-enter them on each visit.

Examples: language preference, display settings

Third-party cookies

Where you have accepted analytics or marketing cookies, third-party services may set their own cookies on your device. These include:

  • Google Analytics โ€” anonymised page view and visitor data. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
  • Facebook Pixel โ€” used to measure ad campaign performance if marketing cookies are accepted. Governed by Meta's data policy.
  • Bing Ads UET โ€” used to track ad conversions if marketing cookies are accepted. Governed by Microsoft's privacy statement.

Kithcraft does not control these third-party cookies. You can find more information about each service's data practices in their respective privacy documentation.

How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. They are used for temporary functions such as maintaining a session.

Persistent cookies remain on your device until their expiry date or until you delete them. Typical durations:

  • Consent preference (cookieConsent): stored until you clear it or update it
  • Google Analytics (_ga): 2 years
  • Google Analytics (_gid): 24 hours
  • Facebook Pixel: up to 90 days
